La
Finca Restaurant
The
basis of traditional Colombian food is based on its unique blend
of seasoning including onions, peppers and natural
ingredients. La Finca Restaurant exclusively imports its produce
and seasoning ingredients directly from Colombia.
Traditional
Entree
Colombia's traditional entree is commonly referred to
as La Bandeja
Tipica (La Finca's preferred name),
Bandeja Montañera or better known as
Bandeja Paisa. Why is it typical?
It
is an entree that was developed by the people of Antioquia, Colombia
or Paisas. It is a dish where you will eat a
complete array of breakfast (eggs), lunch (rice & beans) and
dinner (grilled steak), all in one entree. It is high in carbohydrates
and very filling.
Decor
The decor of La Finca initially consists of the Colombian
flag: yellow, blue and red. Its primary colors are applied throughout
the restaurant reminding you of Colombia's people — lively
and energetic. Contrastingly, the decor also consists of "earthly"
colors reminiscent of a typical Colombian farm, or La
Finca, would be decorated. The decor includes terra cotta,
straw, pine, bamboo and guadua, which is used
in traditional means of construction in South America.
